Born on Chicago’s South Side in 1973, NICOLI “NIKKI” GANT grew up with a love for modeling, gymnastics, and dance. She has always enjoyed both roller skating and ice skating. She attended Morgan Park High School and graduated in 1991. After high school, she went on to Aurora University, where she majored in Political Science. In 1994, she welcomed her first child and began her journey into motherhood, and in 1999 she welcomed her second child. In 2003, she moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth area and began working in Corporate America in accounting.
At the age of 9, Nicoli accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, and she believes He has been by her side ever since. She says He is the one who led her to Diego Gray. Nicoli has been active in her church, especially with the youth and the teen ministry “The Firehouse.” She has a passion and a special gift for working with young people, which she believes is God’s gift to her.
Nicoli is a grandmother of two—a boy and a girl. Her granddaughter became her “bonus” grandbaby at just five and a half months old; when she came into Nicoli’s life, it was full of love and happiness, and Nicoli has been known as “Nana” ever since. Her grandson is now 2, and to him she is “Lovey.” He is her joy and happiness, and she has so much love for them both.
